Online submissions open: January 24, 2023
Entry Deadline: ~~Sunday April 14, 2024~~ Saturday, April 20, 2024
Notification of acceptance: by ~~April 17, 2024~~ April 21 or 22, 2024 (All should be accepted if family-friendly).
Current Members: $35 for 1-3 entries, and $10 for each additional entry up to a total of 6.
Non-members: $50 for 1-3 entries, and $10 for each additional entry up to a total of 6.
High School Students: $5 per entry up to 3 total.
Please put all your pieces on one form, so that your fee is correctly determined. You have the option to save your form to complete your registration as long as it is submitted by the deadline. Email Wendy at webmaster@visualartsociety.org if there is a problem..

Originality: I confirm that my entries are completely my own original work. I understand COPIES of existing art or artwork made by using another artist’s concept and design will not qualify for entering the show. To qualify as an “Original Artwork” it must be the end result of the submitting artist’s ORIGINAL CONCEPT, DESIGN AND EFFORT; i.e., artwork in which only the creating artist physically integrates and/or manipulates every component of his/her original concept & design.
Disclaimer: I shall respect and honor all decisions made by the Art Show Chairperson and the selection committee as final. I understand that the Visual Art Society of BCS and DeGallery will take extra care in the handling of my artwork, but neither entity accepts responsibility for any damage or loss to any entry in the show beginning before the show, during the show, at take down or pick up after the show.
Sales Agreement: I understand that I will receive 60% on any sales of my work entered in the show. I also understand that any artwork displayed for sale in the upcoming VAS show be priced the same as if offered for sale through the artist’s studio, website, or art platform for the duration of the show, and for 30 days after the show closes. If I am approached by a collector to purchase a piece on display in the show, I will refer them to Degallery. Additionally, if a piece is sold within 30 days of the show closing, I agree to collect and pay the commissions (20% for VAS + 20% for Degallery) as if the piece had been sold during the exhibition. I understand this will foster a good faith relationship between myself and the gallery.
Art Pickup: I understand that I must pick up my artwork in a prompt and in a timely manner on the date and time specified in the call for entries. I understand that I cannot remove my artwork from the show prior to the specified take down date. If I do remove the art before the specified date, I will be disqualified from exhibiting in future shows and venues sponsored by the Visual Art Society of BCS. If I cannot pick up my art on time, I will arrange with a board member to designate a person who will pick it up on my behalf.
Artist Release: I consent to the reproduction of images of my work by VAS or its agents in print or electronic forms for promotional and educational purposes.
Artist Release: As the applicant, I agree to hold harmless and blameless the Visual Art Society, Degallery and any of associated members or agents from all claims resulting from loss, theft, damage, or injury to any items submitted for display. I further release the Visual Art Society and all of their duly appointed representatives of all liability and responsibility for any injury, damage, or loss sustained by exhibitors, guests, or works of art before, during, or after the show/display or as a result of the display of my work, equipment or materials.
Final Agreement: I certify that I have read and understood the rules and requirements for entry in this member show and submission of entries constitutes acceptance of all the terms and conditions described on this entry form.
