BECOME A MEMBER

If you want to support the art scene in the Bryan-College Station region, please consider joining the Visual Art Society. Our nonprofit organization, founded in 1972 to promote visual arts and arts education, has been staffed exclusively by volunteers since day one. We welcome both artists and non-artists alike.

BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP

  • Show your work in our exhibition sites located in local businesses.
  • Members may enter the Art Society’s annual members only art show.
  • Members may enter the annual juried competition at a discount over non-members.
  • Members are some of the first to be notified about the low-cost workshops held.
  • Business/Non-profit sponsors receive recognition on the website and at special events.

Your support enables the Visual Art Society of Bryan-College Station to provide art education and to share exciting, innovative exhibits and events with our local community.

The Visual Art Society of Bryan-College Station depends on its members, donors and volunteers to fulfill its mission.  Thank you for being part of VAS!

INDIVIDUAL

For one person or artist. All skill levels, professional or not. Requires renewal each year. Benefits include:

  1. Membership in a proven 50 year old organization.
  2. Discounts for workshop registration & show entry.
  3. Participation in Members Only events: art markets and exhibitions.
  4. Early notice of seminars and workshops.
  5. Newsletter.
STUDENT

Students receive all the benefits of INDIVIDUAL. For individuals ages 16-22 with proof of enrollment. Requires renewal each year.

FAMILY

All the benefits of INDIVIDUAL  for immediate family members residing in the same household. Each individual enters shows and registers for workshops on their own. Requires renewal each year.

FRIEND

Friend of the Arts includes all benefits of INDIVIDUAL plus recognition on the VAS website and in a newsletter announcement. Best for individuals or organizations wishing to advance the mission of the Visual Art Society beyond that of a simple membership. Must be renewed annually.

PATRON

Those who want to help advance the mission of the Visual Art Society significantly beyond a simple membership. Includes all the benefits of FRIEND plus 1 free workshop registration during the year. Free workshop registration expires after 12 month.

BENEFACTOR

Those who want to significantly help advance the mission of the Visual Art Society. Includes all the benefits of PATRON plus complimentary show entry for the year (up to 3 entries per show).
